For the first time in the tournament's history, the finals of the League of Legends Circuit Pacific (LCP), the professional League of Legends tournament for the Asia-Pacific region, will be held in Da Nang, Vietnam. This decision, while surprising to some, has been met with enthusiastic support from the gaming community, especially Vietnamese League of Legends fans.
According to Piotr Pilich, Riot meticulously considered the entire Asia-Pacific (APAC) region before reaching a final decision. One of the primary factors was the fan base. Riot prioritizes holding events in locations with large fan communities to facilitate direct interaction between players and the publisher.
Vietnam, and Da Nang in particular, has been one of the most vibrant markets for League of Legends for years. It boasts not only a large fan community but also a thriving esports culture.

Partnerships also played a significant role in the decision. Collaborating with FPT, a leading technology and event organization company in Vietnam, provided a solid foundation for the LCP plans. The coordinated efforts of the local government and Da Nang’s cultural and tourism management agencies also contributed to the smooth organization, promotion, and logistics for Riot.
Feasibility was another key point in the evaluation process: from logistics, visas, and organizational costs to the construction progress of the stage and the overall experience the location could offer. All these factors were assessed thoroughly and objectively. Ultimately, Da Nang met all the necessary criteria to host the 2025 LCP finals.
The 2025 LCP Finals will be held at the Tien Son Sports Palace, Da Nang on 20/9-21/9.
This is not just an entertainment event; it's an opportunity to connect the community and affirm Vietnam's position on the international esports map. Riot also shared their desire to connect with fans across the region and will continue to consider other locations in the future. While next year's location is yet to be determined, the APAC region remains a top priority in their strategy for developing large-scale League of Legends events.
