We use an online platform to collect dining data about our users to be able to understand their food decision-making abilities so that we can recommend them to other food outlets that might suit them, solving the paradox of choice problem of deciding where and what to eat everyday.

1. The Business Opportunity: In Vietnam, F&B is considered a very big, full of potential but also a competitive industry. Nevertheless, daily users struggle to choose where and what to eat due to too many choices (choice paradox), while up to 80% of  the merchants found it hard to understand what customers really want and how to acquire them. 
2. Taking advantage of the opportunity: That is how the idea of eTen came up with, eTen is the platform that using Machine Learning to understand consumer's palettes for recommendation. We use an online platform to collect dining data about our users to be able to understand their food decision-making abilities so that we can recommend them to other food outlets that might suit them, solving the paradox of choice problem of deciding where and what to eat everyday.
Through this recommendation algorithm, we are able to better help our Food and Beverage merchants acquire customers and help them to increase revenue for their businesses. Moreover, vendors will save their cost of operations on labor and marketing as our platform makes operations leaner, while helping to build brand awareness for our F&B partners.
3. The target market: Merchants owner in Vietnam regardless high-end or SMEs. For the users of 16 years old and above with a mindset of being open to adopt new technology.
4. The competition: As mentioned before, the self-ordering in the restaurant itself is an open market which has never been done before. However, some food-tech based company might be potential competitors (e.g Spoonshot, Munch and Yhofoodie).
